American Heart Association CPR & First Aid Training

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose.  Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association, and any fees charged for such a course do not represent income to the Association.

Healthcare Provider Courses

Healthcare Provider Initial
Adult & Pediatric CPR (including 2 rescuer & use of BVM), foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO), and AED; intended for healthcare professionals, first responders; approx. 4.5 hours, $60 (includes student text and card).

Healthcare Provider Renewal

Review of skills from the HCP Initial course; intended for those with a HCP card that is not significantly beyond expiration; approx. 3 hours, $35 (plus $12.75 if new student text is needed).

Healthcare Provider Renewal (Online Option)

Healthcare Provider Renewal Skills Session for
Online HCP Renewal Course
Skills assessment of Adult/Child 1-Rescuer CPR, Adult 2-Rescuer CPR/AED, Infant 1 and 2-Rescuer CPR; Participants must present certificate of completion of the  HCP Renewal online course; approx. 1 hour, $25 (includes card).

Health & Safety/Workplace Courses

Heartsaver AED

Adult & Child CPR/AED with mask and relief of choking; intended for laypeople with access to an AED and a duty to respond to cardiac emergencies as a job responsibility; approx. 3 hours, $45 (includes student workbook and card).

 

Optional Addition: Infant CPR with mask and relief of choking; approx. 1 hour, $5.

Heartsaver CPR

Adult & Child CPR and relief of choking; intended for laypeople without access to an AED and a duty to respond to cardiac emergencies as a job responsibility; approx. 2 hours, $35 (includes student workbook and card).

 

Optional Addition:  Adult/Child CPR with mask and Infant CPR with mask and relief of choking; approx. 1 hour; $5

Heartsaver First Aid
Adult First Aid covering First Aid Basics, Medical & Injury Emergencies;  intended for laypeople responding to emergencies at their workplace; approx. 3 hours, $50 (includes course materials, student workbook and card).


Optional Additions
: Environmental Emergencies; Adult/Child CPR with mask or Adult/Child CPR & AED; Infant CPR with mask; approx. 1 hour each; $5 each.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid

Pediatric First Aid covering First Aid Basics, Medical, Injury & Environmental Emergencies; intended for those involved in child care with a duty to respond to first aid emergencies as a job responsibility; approx. 4 hours, $55 (includes course materials, student workbook and card).


Optional Additions
:  Asthma Care and Optional Pediatric FA Topics (eye injuries, fever, bites, suspected abuse); Adult/Child CPR with mask or Adult/Child CPR/AED;  Infant CPR with mask; approx. 1 hour each; $5 each.

Community Courses

Family & Friends CPR

Adult/Child CPR and relief of choking; intended for laypeople with family or friends at risk for cardiac arrest but do not need a course completion card; approx. 1 ½  hours;  $20 (includes student booklet).

 

Optional Addition:  Infant CPR and relief of choking; approx. 1 ½ hours; $5.
