STEMI Point of Entry

As indicated in the circular letter from MDPH to all ambulance services dated May 5, 2008, the Region is awaiting “separate instructions regarding submissions of cardiac POE plans to OEMS.” When these instructions are received, a Region II STEMI POE plan will be developed by Region II’s Medical Services Committee. It will then require approval by the Region’s Board of Directors before being submitted to MDPH for final approval before it can be implemented. In the meantime, all services should continue to bring their patients to the nearest facility for treatment.
